Hi, I’m Maya Nadeem-
Trauma-informed
somatic guide and facilitator
I midwife people out of survival
into a life deeply rooted,
vibrantly alive
and joyfully embodied
The Heart of Flow Method is a blended map of creative expression,
somatics and energy healing, rooted in the sacred feminine.
It’s for everyone.
It weaves playfulness with depth into a cauldron of transformation.
We get real with every emotion that surfaces for you-
every pattern, every wound, every attachment cord.
This is deeply relational work, and not for the faint hearted-
but it’s also so very fun.
We’re going to laugh a lot, and you’ll be fully held when tears emerge-
all your snot is welcome here.
I’ve worked in the trauma healing world for over 18 years, and worked devotionally
through my own wound clusters.
This is work that developed in the body- mine and the people I’ve worked
with. There are many teachers, lineages, trainings and modalities that have
influenced it, but it is born of the body.
My body is where I learnt what it feels like to bring harmony into emotional intensity,
create pockets of freedom in places of pain, trust where there was shutdown
from fear and create safety for joy and aliveness to re-emerge.
I work with people and organizations through 1:1 sessions, workshops and courses.
If you’re here, something in you is done shrinking to survive.
You want truth, aliveness, and a deeper way of being with yourself and life.
If you recognize yourself below, I’ve got you.
Body as Sanctuary
If you’ve never felt at home in your body but felt a deep longing to, this is for you. It’s for the ones whose nervous systems stay on alert because some part of them is always bracing for impact. This is where self worth becomes a lived experience, not trying to convince yourself of what you deserve.
Love and attachment wounds
Love feels dangerous and exhausting because you fear disappearing in it or being abandoned again
You’ve lost yourself to be chosen and you’re done with that pattern
Relationships trigger every wound you’ve tried to outgrow
Trauma, grief and reclaiming yourself
You’ve survived sexual trauma or gender-based violence and you're ready
to reclaim your body, voice, boundaries and pleasure at your own pace
You’re grieving someone, something, or a version of you that’s gone and it needs to be met with care
Your inner child still carries pain from neglect, chaos, or trauma and it needs repair, not repression
You are done with self-abandonment, people pleasing, fawning, overgiving and shrinking-
you want to root in self-respect
Across the Threshold
You’re at a threshold- the old life is too small and a deeper, truer version of you is calling
Some part of you is aching for aliveness- for truth, depth, creativity, and a life that finally feels like yours
You are looking for more than talk therapy- you want something that moves you, opens you,
and brings healing through deep feeling, expression and play
You are not here to cope.
You are here to heal, awaken your life force, and live
as the truest version of yourself.
This is special.
Here’s where I tell you more about the Heart of Flow and how lusciously generative it is.
Heart of Flow is wildly creative and deeply rooted.
It meets you where you are
and taps you into the pulse of your creative current.
This isn’t a fixed process where we run through the same steps every time.
Each session looks different,
depending on your needs, focus and desire.
Art, writing and movement weave together
to bring insight and transformation from your unconscious to awaken you into radical growth.
No prior experience is needed- this is pure expression, not performance.
It’s somatic and embodied. It’s also full of energy healing and transmissions.
And, it’s rooted in sacred feminine practices.
This work is a love letter from you, to you.
This work awakens life force through expression.
Creativity is one of my deepest medicines.
I write poetry, make art and dance as a living portal for healing and growth.
My body intimately knows the intricate details of translating emotion into form.
This is is why I love what I do- because I know what it means to be set free from what
once caged us and made us feel like too much and not enough all at once.
steady, flexible nervous systems that have the capacity for intense emotions
liberation from trauma cycles and emotional entanglements
a body that feels more relaxed, connected, and at ease
renewed creative power- the courage to create and lead their life forward
relationships anchored in inner stability, deeper self-trust and security
nourished root systems
support through thresholds of grief, heartbreak, and change
access to vibrancy, joy, and pleasure
the safety to move toward desire without abandoning themselves
This isn’t for anyone looking for a quick fix- it’s an adventure where we get to cultivate
what matters most to you.
There will be laughter, tears, probably some snot… and so much more.
And you are welcome here in all of it.
My healing path started out with a heartbreak that sent me spinning- it showed me how much I had suppressed inside
and how much pain was hidden there.
I discovered parts of myself that I didn’t know existed.
I learnt to hold myself through panic, grief and terror,
and slowly began to feel what it meant to actually love myself.
My creativity came alive in ways I’d never known before where shame once hijacked me.
Then I realized I was endlessly uncovering pain, always digging and never arriving.
Patterns that wouldn’t budge. Ugh.
Eventually my inner guidance
brought me to train in the deep feminine mysteries where I found the path home to myself,
and also an embodied map to enable me to stop making the worst relationship choices possible.
A home where nourishment and pleasure live. Where sovereignty is not a concept but a pulse in the body.
Where I stopped swallowing my own voice.
The sacred feminine, to me, is a way of returning to the truest expression of who we are.
It tends to the roots. It feeds the erotic currents that power creation.
It gave me steadiness in my relationships and devotion to the life inside me.
It taught me to honour the sharpness of my edges and the tenderness of my heart- without abandoning either.
This spiral turn in my path helped me realize something crucial:
We don’t need to heal from everything-
just from enough to help us come alive,
expand our capacity to feel and give us choice in how we live.
So come, I warmly welcome humans of all genders, shapes, colours and sexual preferences.
Who you are is celebrated here.
We’ll make space for your devastations, your terror, your joy and delight
and everything else that arises,
moving through it together in a way that is deeply fierce and so freakin’ playful.

“I have worked with many practitioners and healers over the years and experienced new self-awareness and transformation immediately while being taken through Maya’s unique method. I’ve been on an intensive path of personal and spiritual development for over fifteen years now and what Maya’s work taught me is just how UPLIFTING and PLAYFUL change can be through creative expression.”
“I felt so incredibly safe and listened to when working with Maya. Her intuition and intentionality allowed me to open and ground into states of safety I have rarely experienced with another person present. The session was not only profound, but fun and joyful and I have come back to the practices she shared with me time and time again.”
“I honestly haven’t had a session where I felt so seen, secure, loved and held. Your gentle encouragement and space holding allowed me to approach things that needed to be looked at and find a deep connection to my essential self. The work we did feels divine. It has a Godly quality. Very special. Very transformative.”
I was born on land in Karachi, Pakistan- a place I hold
with both tenderness and complexity in my bones.
I now live in Toronto, on the ancestral lands of the Haudenosaunee,
the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Anishinaabe,
original caretakers and stewards of this territory under the
Dish With One Spoon Treaty.
I honour their enduring presence, resilience,
and depth of relationship to this land.
